Köfteci Yusuf, one of Turkey's most famous brands, had entered the list of adulterated products regularly published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry due to a 'pork' scandal.

Allegations that pork was found in the meatballs caused a stir. Amidst the reactions and support, Köfteci Yusuf, which was caught in the middle of the scandal, was chosen 240 million times. Announcing its targets for 2025, Köfteci Yusuf plans to increase the number of orders to 400 million.

WHAT WAS ITS LAST MOVE?

Köfteci Yusuf had resumed direct animal slaughter without intermediaries. The brand had decided to make direct purchases from livestock farmers and producers in Balıkesir, Ankara, Kırşehir, Aydın, Gaziantep, Malatya, and Bursa.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Köfteci Yusuf was known for its chain restaurants and affordable products all across Turkey. However, according to the Ministry's list, pork had been detected in Köfteci Yusuf's meatballs. The owner of the famous restaurants, Yusuf Akkaş, had denied the claims and alleged that a conspiracy had been set up against him.

Köfteci Yusuf broke its long silence by becoming a sponsor for the TFF 2nd League team Karaman Football Club.
