It was claimed that Turkish soldiers would withdraw from Iraq: Center for Combating Disinformation responded to these allegations

The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation announced that claims appearing in some media outlets in recent days, stating that "the Security Agreement signed between Iraq and Turkey aims to end the presence of Turkish military forces on Iraqi territory," do not reflect the truth.

In the statement made by the Center, it was clearly stated that there is no such provision in the 'Memorandum of Understanding on Military, Security Cooperation and Counter-Terrorism' signed between Turkey and Iraq.

COOPERATION WILL BE ESTABLISHED

According to the report, it was stated that with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries, a Joint Security Coordination Center will be established in Baghdad and a Joint Training and Cooperation Center will be established in Bashiqa.

The statement indicated that these centers will enable the elimination of threats posed by terrorist organizations to the sovereignty, security, and regional security of both countries.

The Center emphasized that Turkey's fight against terrorism continues with determination both domestically and across its borders, and stated that claims put forward by non-official sources should not be given credence.
