June 2 Republic Day, which symbolizes Italy's modern democratic identity, was celebrated with a special event held in Istanbul. The Republic Ball, hosted by the Consulate General of Italy at the Venice Palace on June 4, 2025, brought together a guest list consisting of diplomatic circles, the business world, and representatives from the arts and culture sector.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Turkey (CCIIST) was among the sponsors of the evening. The support provided by CCIIST to the event was a concrete indicator of the importance it places on the multifaceted cooperation and cultural rapprochement between Turkey and Italy.
Throughout the event, exquisite flavors of Italian cuisine were served to the guests, while live performances by artists added color to the night. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including those from diplomatic circles, the business world, and representatives from the arts and culture sector.
CCIIST Chairman of the Board Stefano Kaslowski made the following assessment regarding this special night:
“We are very happy and proud to contribute to this meaningful reception organized by the Consulate General of Italy on a day of such great historical and symbolic importance as Italy's Republic Day. This contribution of ours is a concrete indicator of our association's importance to the development of friendship, economic cooperation, and cultural interaction between Turkey and Italy. Sharing this enthusiasm in a special venue like the Venice Palace has once again strongly reminded us of our historical ties.”
