ITO calls for public transport law

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) President Şekib Avdagiç stated that they are ready to provide the necessary support as ITO for the preparation of a public transport law that will make a significant contribution to public transportation and quality of life in Istanbul.

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) President Şekib Avdagiç announced their support for the public transport law being prepared to improve public transportation and quality of life in Istanbul. Avdagiç voiced the demands of the Istanbul business world regarding transportation and infrastructure issues during the ITO January assembly meeting, which was attended by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

Emphasizing that Istanbul is a dynamic city and that its needs, like its population, are constantly increasing, Avdagiç stated that if the city is to be the center of history, tourism, trade, finance, sports, and culture, it must first be the capital of transportation. At this point, Avdagiç expressed that a "sustainable transportation" policy is of vital importance for Istanbul.

Pointing out that public transport facilities and the problems in this area directly affect the quality of life in Istanbul, Avdagiç announced the support they provide as ITO for the preparation of the public transport law. Stating that they believe this law is a major necessity for Istanbul, Avdagiç emphasized that they will offer all the support they can for the implementation of a regulation that will make a significant contribution to increasing public transportation and quality of life.
