İYİ Party calls for a democracy vigil in Saraçhane: 'We invite all our organizations'

Following the referral of CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to the Çağlayan Courthouse, the İYİ Party issued a statement calling on citizens to gather in Saraçhane. The statement announced that a democracy vigil would be held until suhoor.

The İYİ Party issued a statement following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. The party announced that it would join the CHP's call to support the event to be held in Saraçhane.

The statement indicated that İYİ Party organizations would participate in the event to be held in Istanbul. The party called on all its district branches to take their place at the forefront of the event with İYİ Party flags. Stating, "We invite you to raise a strong voice for justice and democracy," the announcement emphasized that the purpose of the event is to defend the rule of law.

The statement included the following remarks:

"We are in Saraçhane this evening to protect democracy! We will take our place in the democracy vigil that will last from iftar until suhoor for the rule of law and the national will. We invite all our Istanbul organizations to be at the forefront with our İYİ Party flags and to raise a strong voice for justice and democracy!"
