Yılmaz announced from the rally podium that he was being blackmailed and read the messages he had received.
Yılmaz stated that he had filed a criminal complaint and also called on his rival, AKP candidate Hilmi Güler.
Speaking at a rally held in the city, Yılmaz said, "They are threatening us. They are blackmailing us," and read from the podium a message he received from İsa Akçay, the owner of Kanal 52, which broadcasts in Ordu. Claiming that Akçay demanded money from him, Enver Yılmaz stated that he had filed a criminal complaint and called on the relevant authorities to take action.
'YOU WILL PAY 25 MILLION LIRAS'
Yılmaz also called on the AKP's Ordu Metropolitan Mayor and AKP's Ordu candidate Hilmi Güler, saying the following:
“I am offering you 3 proposals, Enver Yılmaz to you. 10 million just for news. You will pay 20 million 100 thousand liras for everything included. He says you will pay 25 million liras including the districts.
But if you don't get back to me today, he says, 'I am Hilmi Güler's soldier and dog from tomorrow on.' Who is saying this? İsa Akçay, who has been broadcasting against us 24 hours a day.
"WE WILL FIGHT AGAINST THEM"
I am calling on the prosecutors, all state institutions, and Hilmi Güler to take action. I have a history of fighting against this blackmail gang. I have neither personal money to give them nor municipal resources. They will attack. But we will fight against them to the end.”
