İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener lays her sister Mualla Özen to rest
Mualla Özen (80), the sister of İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener, who passed away, was laid to rest in Kocaeli. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu also attended the ceremony.

The funeral of Mualla Özen, who passed away during the night due to multiple organ failure at the Kocaeli City Hospital where she was receiving treatment, was collected by her relatives and brought to her home in the Yeşilova neighborhood.
A ceremony was later held for Özen at the Gündoğdu Central Mosque.
İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener and her nephew Faruk Özen accepted condolences there.
After the request for blessings, Özen's funeral was laid to rest at the Gündoğdu Cemetery following the funeral prayer held at the time of the afternoon prayer.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Özen's relatives, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz, İYİ Party TBMM Group Chair Koray Aydın, İYİ Party TBMM Group Deputy Chair Erhan Usta, İYİ Party Head of Political Affairs Oktay Vural, İYİ Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu, AK Party Kocaeli Deputy Sadettin Hülagü, İYİ Party Kocaeli Deputy Lütfü Türkkan, CHP Kocaeli Deputy Harun Özgür Yıldızlı, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, as well as former AK Party Kocaeli Deputy Fikri Işık and citizens.
