İYİ Party Chairman Dervişoğlu says 'we want a Turkey without terrorism' but adds a caveat: 'Of course we want it, but...'

Attending his party's Extended Provincial Council Meeting held at the Vali Nafiz Kayalı Youth and Sports Center, Müsavat Dervişoğlu stated that they emphasize the need to produce solutions to problems through common sense everywhere they go, and that they voice the problems they listen to on-site in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Stating that Turkey's young population is declining, Dervişoğlu said, "We used to talk about and take pride in the presence of a young population in Turkey, the high level of our production potential, and the size of our workforce. In the process we are in today, I say with regret that our young population is decreasing day by day within the general population ratio, and fertility and population growth rates are falling."

Evaluating the terrorist organization PKK's decision on dissolution and laying down arms, Müsavat Dervişoğlu used the expression, "You ask us, 'Don't you want a Turkey without terrorism?', who wouldn't want a Turkey without terrorism? Of course we want it, but I also want a Turkey without terrorists."

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu argued that sufficient information has not been provided regarding this process and noted the following:

"All of this is being carried out without the knowledge of the nation. No one is aware of what is happening. I am the chairman of a political party, and I am also a member of parliament elected by the votes of this nation. My party has a group in parliament. Therefore, we possess a will and a stance that deserves to be informed by the state. They haven't even offered to inform me by saying, 'we are working on such a matter, the developments are at this stage' up until now."

The meeting was attended by İYİ Party deputy chairmen, members of parliament, party members, and citizens.
