İYİ Party Chairman Dervişoğlu speaks on 'I'll get this for you, king' message: I have assigned a task

It was alleged that İYİ Party Bursa Deputy Hasan Toktaş shared a photo of CHP Osmaniye Deputy and CHP Women's Branch Chair Asu Kaya in an internal party WhatsApp group, using the phrase "I'll get this for you, king."

While Toktaş denied the message, İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu stated regarding the issue, "The statement made by Mr. Hasan Toktaş is valid in my view. However, as a necessity of both the subject matter and our sensitivity regarding these issues, I have assigned our Secretary General Mr. Uğur Poyraz and our Head of Legal, Election and Parliamentary Relations Mr. Hakan Şeref Olgun to follow up on the legal process, and to conduct an investigation and inquiry."

It had been alleged that İYİ Party's Toktaş shared a photo of CHP Osmaniye Deputy and CHP Women's Branch Chair Asu Kaya in an internal party WhatsApp group, using the phrase "I'll get this for you, king."

Regarding the message, İYİ Party's Hasan Toktaş had said, "I claim that the message produced by dark hands is a fabrication and the expressions do not belong to me."

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made a statement regarding the message in question.

Dervişoğlu said the following:

"Today, a WhatsApp message alleged to belong to our Organization President Mr. Hasan Toktaş has been shared and reported in social media and the press.

Regarding the message in which the name of a valued Deputy, Ms. Asu Kaya, is also mentioned, the statement made by Mr. Hasan Toktaş is valid in my view.

However, as a necessity of both the subject matter and our sensitivity regarding these issues, I have assigned our Secretary General Mr. Uğur Poyraz and our Head of Legal, Election and Parliamentary Relations Mr. Hakan Şeref Olgun to follow up on the legal process, and to conduct an investigation and inquiry.

Until our relevant colleagues and our party's boards complete the necessary work, as an indication of our sensitivity on this matter, I will personally carry out the duties of the İYİ Party Organization Presidency as Chairman. I submit this to the information of our dear nation.”
