İYİ Party Deputy Chair makes statement on 'retirees': Welfare share must be granted immediately

İYİ Party Deputy Chair Ünzile Yüksel held a press conference regarding the problems faced by retirees in front of the Atatürk Statue at Ulus Square. Yüksel stated that retirees have been condemned to deep poverty.

"THEY MUST BE EXEMPTED FROM MEDICINE AND CO-PAYMENTS"

Emphasizing that average house rents are between 15-20 thousand liras while the lowest retiree pension remains at 10 thousand liras, Yüksel demanded that this grievance be resolved by raising the pension accrual rate to 70 percent. In her statement, Yüksel said, "A welfare share must be granted to retirees immediately, and retirees must be exempted from medicine and co-payments."
