İYİ Party: 'Interest in our party has increased after the İmralı process'

İYİ Party Organization Affairs Chair and Bursa Deputy Hasan Toktaş made evaluations regarding the current agenda. Stating that the İmralı process has benefited their party, Toktaş said, "There is a serious social reaction against the İmralı process, and this situation is increasing interest in our party with each passing day."

Stating that the number of people switching to the İYİ Party from other political parties has increased, Toktaş used the expressions, "We have members coming from the AKP, MHP, CHP, and the Victory Party (Zafer Partisi)." 

Stating that the İYİ Party has displayed a clear stance in the process being conducted with İmralı, Toktaş said, "This process is an attempt to tamper with the fundamental values of the Republic, and we absolutely do not accept this process." 

Toktaş said the following in the continuation of his statements: 

"If we had followed what was called state wisdom 100 years ago, we would have accepted a British mandate. Our hundred-year-old Republic is being portrayed as flawed through the language of terror. We will never allow the definition of citizenship and the definition of Turkishness to be tampered with."
