İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made a statement regarding the meeting between DEM Party members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı. Meeting with party members in the Etimesgut district of Ankara, Dervişoğlu later answered questions from journalists.

Dervişoğlu used the following expressions:

'WHAT DOES THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY EXPECT FROM TERRORIST LEADER ÖCALAN?'

"The meeting took place yesterday, and the statement was made today. This means that those who made that visit held a meeting with certain state officials yesterday and prepared a joint text. I will read that text carefully. Furthermore, I will evaluate and share whatever is contrary to the expectations of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish nation within it.

We do not know what the paradigm is, we do not know what is being asked of Abdullah Öcalan. What does the Republic of Turkey expect from terrorist leader Öcalan? To tell the truth, I do not understand. But this government has a habit of declaring terrorist organizations as friends and friends as terrorist organizations from yesterday to today. I will look at these meetings and make the necessary assessment. For the Republic of Turkey to expect help from the head of the terrorists in İmralı for the future of Turkey is shameful to me."
