İYİ Party's Turhan Çömez: 'I am making a call to the government: The fundamental need of this country is justice'
Evaluating Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç's reaction to TÜSİAD's statements, Turhan Çömez said, "The Minister of Justice wagged his finger at a respected non-governmental organization in this country. TÜSİAD said, 'Let there be law and justice in this country; where there is no law and justice, there is no development, no economy, no industry, no prosperity.' Why are you bothered by this?"

Çömez criticized the statement made by Justice Minister Tunç with the following words:
"You absolutely cannot make such a statement. Will people have to ask you or get your permission to make a statement in this country? Your duty is to serve as a minister there to ensure the establishment of justice. Not to wag your finger at this person or that, not to make statements regarding the Republican People's Party, and not to comment on a matter concerning that party that has been or is about to be referred to the judiciary.
I am asking the Minister of Justice. Where were you when our Chairman Dervişoğlu, who has a parliamentary group and is himself a member of parliament, was being threatened by a degenerate? Why didn't you open your mouth? Why didn't the prosecutors take action ex officio? Why didn't you initiate an investigation regarding this?
I suppose you don't have time to establish justice because you are too busy wagging your finger at everyone. I am making a call to the government again and again. The fundamental need of this country is justice, the rule of law, human rights, democracy, freedom of expression, and a state understanding that governs and is held accountable," he said.

Sharing a photograph taken during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's trip to America, Turhan Çömez stated, "Mr. Erdoğan formed a convoy with his planes in the air. 4 large Airbus planes. One of them is a half-billion-dollar plane gifted by Qatar.
One of them is a cargo plane of the Turkish Armed Forces. It contains Erdoğan's vehicles. He made the convoy to America with 5 planes," he expressed.
Noting that Erdoğan used 3 planes on his Asia trip, Çömez said, "They say there is no austerity in prestige. The larger, more powerful, and longer your plane convoy in the air, the more prestigious you are. I ask Erdoğan, who formed a convoy with 5 planes to America and 3 to Asia: Why didn't you respond when Trump announced his Gaza plan? Why didn't you say 'Hey America'? Why didn't you say, 'Look, I have 5 planes. I am a president of a powerful state. Don't you dare try to redesign the region.' Weren't you a world leader? Prestige is not measured by the number of planes in the air, but by the stance we take," he said.
