İYİ Party Spokesperson and Ankara Deputy Kürşat Zorlu made statements regarding the agenda at a press conference he held in Parliament.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's remarks directed at the İYİ Party, "We are meeting in a pensioners' alliance," were brought up, and when asked for his assessment, Zorlu responded: "When election time comes, the problems of the people, our pensioners, and our laborers come to some people's minds. In truth, we only form alliances with our nation. As for 'urban consensus' or such, we do not know or recognize any of these concepts. However, we do not need to form an alliance to defend the rights of our pensioners, our disabled citizens, the oppressed segments, and people who are crying out. This is already a fundamental responsibility our nation has entrusted to us."
"POLITICS SHOULD BE IN A PEACEFUL CLIMATE"
Zorlu also responded to another journalist's question, "You received an invitation from the MHP for the first time. There was high-level participation from the İYİ Party in the last congress held. How will you evaluate this invitation politically?" with the following statements:
"As far as I know, this invitation was extended by Mr. Bahçeli to our Chairperson personally through official correspondence. We took part in the congress with the participation of our Secretary General, Ms. Ayfer Yılmaz, and our Head of Legal Policies, Mr. Hakan Şeref Olgun. These are normal situations that should exist in Turkish politics. We are in favor of politics continuing in a climate of peaceful competition. We will continue to do so."
