İYİ Party Hatay MP Adnan Şefik Çirkin submitted a legislative proposal for the 'Grey Wolf' gesture to be 'accepted as the national symbol of the Turks'.

"That the use of the Grey Wolf cannot be banned" was stated in Çirkin's proposal, which also noted, "that displaying the sign representing Turkishness in national and international activities, including cultural and sporting events, shall not constitute a punishable offense." the statements read.
