Izmir's 'Seçil Erzan' referred to the courthouse

Denizbank Bornova Branch Manager H.Ö., who is alleged to have collected 300 million liras from various individuals in Izmir with the promise of high returns, has been referred to the courthouse after being discharged from the hospital and taken into custody.

A case similar to that of Seçil Erzan, who was arrested on charges of defrauding famous figures in the football world with promises of high returns, has occurred in Izmir. Denizbank Bornova Branch Manager and Karşıyaka Sports Club Basketball Infrastructure Branch President H.Ö. allegedly collected money from a total of 5 people, including 2 club executives, with the promise of high returns. Regarding the incident, teams from the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate, coordinated by the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch Directorate, arrived at the bank branch, and digital materials were seized as a result of the searches conducted.

Simultaneous searches were also carried out at the currency exchange office in Karşıyaka, the workplace above the currency exchange, and the residences of currency exchange owner S.Ç. and Branch Manager H.Ö. The teams also took bank branch employees E.Y. and A.A. into custody to have their statements taken.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE OWNER ARRESTED

On the other hand, S.Ç., who was referred to the courthouse after the completion of procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.

H.Ö., who attempted suicide by taking an overdose of medication, had been taken to Izmir City Hospital. It was learned that H.Ö., who was transferred to the psychiatry ward, had refused to eat. While his doctors informed the police teams that the individual was not in a condition to provide a statement, it was emphasized that a decision would be made as a result of the evaluations to be conducted.

H.Ö., who was discharged after receiving treatment at Izmir City Hospital, was taken into custody. H.Ö., whose procedures at the police station were completed, was first brought to the hospital today for a health check. He was subsequently referred to the courthouse.
