İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet withdraws from candidacy

CHP İzmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet allegedly had a dispute with İzmit District Chair Gökhan Ercan regarding the İzmit Municipal Council list.

According to a report by Ergün Demir from T24; Hürriyet withdrew from her candidacy for İzmit Mayor following the dispute.

Hürriyet has submitted her letter of withdrawal from candidacy to the İzmit District Chairmanship.

REASON FOR WITHDRAWAL IS THE LISTS

İzmit Mayor Hürriyet withdrew from her candidacy because the names she requested were not included in the municipal council member list.

It was learned that Hürriyet had demanded the removal of CHP İzmit District Chair Gökhan Ercan from his post, and decided to withdraw when this did not happen.
