The Izzet Yıldızhan detail in the Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı murder case

In the investigation conducted into the armed attack in Ümraniye where footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı lost his life, new allegations regarding the suspects' actions after the incident have been added to the file.

7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, SOME NAMES RELEASED

Within the scope of the investigation, 7 people, including Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, and Izzet Yıldızhan, were arrested. While Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's mother Zuhal Kalaycıoğlu and one suspect were released under judicial control conditions, Bilal Kadayıfçıoğlu was released by the prosecutor's office.

ALLEGATIONS REGARDING THE MOMENT OF THE ATTACK

According to a report by Sabah Newspaper, it is alleged that Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu brought his weapon to the scene ready for use and opened fire by heading toward the vehicle where Kundakçı was located.

According to the allegations in the file, the suspect struck the vehicle window with the barrel of the gun, then opened the door and fired directly into the vehicle. It was stated that statements from some individuals at the scene were in this direction.

It was noted that Kundakçı, who was wounded in the abdominal area, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions.

ESCAPE PLAN AND COMMUNICATION TRAFFIC

According to the investigation file, it is alleged that after the incident, Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu turned off his phone, communicated via a different line, and tried to cover his tracks by using various vehicles.

It was stated that when he was caught at Zorlu Center in Gayrettepe, he said the weapon was in the vehicle, but the weapon was later found in his home, ready to fire.

Furthermore, it was determined that a person named Hüseyin Can picked up Kadayıfçıoğlu, who was running with a gun in his hand, and Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu in his vehicle and drove them away from the scene.

ALLEGATIONS REGARDING IZZET YILDIZHAN

The file alleges that around 01:00 on the night of the incident, Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu's father, Bilal Kadayıfçıoğlu, who is in England, called Izzet Yıldızhan, and subsequently, communication was established with Metin Kadayıfçıoğlu.

Information that Yıldızhan also had phone conversations with other suspects after the incident was included in the file.

EVALUATION OF "HARBORING A CRIMINAL"

In the investigation documents, it was stated that there was unusual communication between Izzet Yıldızhan and Metin Kadayıfçıoğlu via WhatsApp. Information that Yıldızhan has a close relationship with the family and owns accommodation facilities in different provinces was also included in the file.

Authorities stated that by evaluating that Yıldızhan helped the suspect escape and hide instead of reporting the incident to the competent authorities, the crime of "harboring a criminal" had been committed.

It was also reported that the possibility of some suspects contacting individuals who have not yet been caught and exerting pressure on witnesses, as well as the risk of flight or evidence tampering, were cited among the grounds for arrest.

SUSPECT'S DEFENSE: "I DID NOT REALIZE THE GUN WENT OFF"

Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu denied the accusations in his statement. The suspect, who argued that he went to the side of the vehicle to tell those inside to move their car, claimed that there was a struggle during the ensuing argument and that the gun went off during this time.

Kadayıfçıoğlu said, "The gun went off during the struggle; I definitely did not fire the gun. I went into shock when the gun went off. I didn't even realize if it was my gun that went off or another gun."
