Jeweler's body found in car trunk

A man's body was found inside the trunk of a parked car in the Bornova district of İzmir. Investigations revealed that the body belonged to 68-year-old jeweler Bekir Bozar, who was allegedly shot in the back of the head with a handgun and killed by an individual with whom he had a dispute over money, after which his body was hidden in the trunk.

The incident occurred on March 19 in the Bornova district. According to the information obtained, F.B. (24), who allegedly gave a sum of money to jeweler Bekir Bozar for his business and could not get it back, and his friend E.Ö. (24), picked up Bozar in a car on Kemalpaşa Street. 

Following an argument, F.B. shot the 68-year-old jeweler 3 times in the back of the head with a handgun, killing him.

The suspects, who loaded Bekir Bozar's lifeless body into the trunk of the car, left the vehicle in the parking lot of a private hospital and fled.

REPORTED IT THE NEXT DAY

One of the suspects in the car, E.Ö., called the 112 Emergency Call Center one day after the incident to report the situation.

In the investigation carried out by police teams arriving at the scene, Bekir Bozar's lifeless body was found inside the trunk of the car.

Bozar's body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following the examination. While E.Ö. was taken into custody by police teams, an operation was launched to apprehend F.B., who is believed to have carried out the incident.
