Joint statement from 81 CHP provincial chairs

The 81 CHP provincial chairs included striking remarks in a statement where they declared, "We will not allow the efforts of dirty and dark forces to design politics."

Here are the statements used in the joint declaration:

"Throughout every period of our history, there has been political competition, differences of opinion, and struggles over which view should prevail. The paths and methods of this struggle have been clear for years.

It has become evident that the AKP government is incapable of solving the real, burning, and severe problems faced by our citizens. Its futile effort to resist a government change that is due has pushed the AKP into a marginal position contrary to our most fundamental human values. As a result of its political exhaustion, the government has lost all of its moral values.

Our people are observing with concern and taking note of the government's loss of its moral compass, as it goes beyond mere slander to attempt vile attacks on people's honor and chastity. It is clear that a dark, misogynistic, and perverted mindset lies beneath the scenario of these desperate, immoral attacks; and that this mentality cannot benefit anyone.

We know that those who carry out this nauseating campaign targeting our Chairman, our executives, and especially our female politicians are helpless puppets. We also know in detail the twisted networks of relationships involving those who hold the strings of these puppets and mistake the power of the state for their own.

We stand by all our female colleagues who are the targets of these miserable attacks. We consider it our duty to defend the rights, legal standing, and honor of each one of them.

Under the leadership of our Chairman Özgür Özel, we will continue to work with all our strength in all 81 provinces for the future of our country, more determined than ever before.

The truth will surely prevail. Justice will be served. Our people will attain the honorable life they deserve under a CHP government.

The will of the people will prevail, and Turkey will win."
