Journalist Murat Ağırel reveals he has been threatened: 'Masked individuals...'

Journalist Murat Ağırel stated that he has been threatened and that even the trash bin in front of his house has been rummaged through.

Speaking on the 'Kayda Geçsin' program on Halk TV, Ağırel emphasized that his house was being monitored and said the following:

"THEY ARE RUMMAGING THROUGH THE TRASH BIN"

"I was not in favor of making this public. My team members know this. I report the insults and lynching attempts to the judiciary. The only port I can take refuge in is the judiciary. One day, I was on air with my colleagues. My wife called me. There was someone in front of the house filming with a camera. Our neighbors saw this and told my wife. They even enter the parking garage. Even the trash in front of my door has been picked through. My house has been identified with the camera they have. They come around 01:30 - 02:00 at night and rummage through the trash bin in front of my house."

Stating that his neighbor sent him footage and then sharing the footage he recorded himself, Ağırel explained that masked individuals were collecting everything around the house and putting it into their vehicles.

"THE MOMENT THEY TOUCH MY FAMILY..."

Stating that he also spoke with Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya regarding the matter, Ağırel said:

"These people are always in front of my house. One says I was a courier, another says I came by mistake. We are dealing with such simple excuses. All of this is trivial to me. We have seen so much. Sometimes journalists act faster than prosecutors. When a prosecutor calls you regarding an article you wrote, you present it with documents. We are going through such a process that everyone acts as if they have lost their true selves for the sake of money. We haven't published this for weeks. They will stay away from my family. The moment they touch my family, I will destroy them. I know this is wrong as jargon, but I really will destroy them, let it be known."
