Judges and prosecutors put imported firearms up for sale online!
Some judges and prosecutors have put firearms they purchased for one-fourth of the market price through an imported weapons campaign launched by the Ministry of Justice up for sale online. The weapons, which could normally be gifted free of charge, were listed with the note "for sale by a member of the judiciary" and priced as high as 12,000 dollars.

The Ministry of Justice Department of Support Services launched an imported firearms campaign for judges and prosecutors. Some judges and prosecutors who purchased imported weapons at one-fourth of their market price have put the weapons, which they could normally only gift free of charge, up for sale online.
According to a report by Cengiz Anıl Bölükbaş from t24; on some websites where firearms are bought and sold, the price of weapons listed as 'from a member of the judiciary' reaches up to 12,000 dollars.
With a regulation enacted in 2008, judges and prosecutors were granted the right to purchase two firearms throughout their tenure, one domestic and one imported. Under the scope of the regulation, the weapons were exempted from funds, taxes, duties, fees, and storage charges belonging to official institutions, allowing judges and prosecutors to acquire weapons at a cheaper price.
An announcement for the purchase of imported weapons for judges and prosecutors was made by the Ministry of Justice Department of Support Services. In the Ministry of Justice's letter dated August 27 regarding the campaign, which was similar to one conducted in 2012, it was stated that the campaign was carried out to increase the security of judges and prosecutors and that the imported weapons would be supplied by the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE). The letter stated that the purchase of the weapons must be made in Euros or dollars and that the payment must be deposited into the Ministry of Justice's bank account. The campaign launched for judges and prosecutors ended on September 30.
WEAPONS LISTED FOR SALE
Judges and prosecutors normally gift these weapons free of charge. However, with the campaign, many members of the judiciary have put the weapons they purchased at an affordable price up for sale online. The price of the weapons listed as “for sale by a member of the judiciary” reaches up to 12,000 dollars.
For example, while the Wilson EDC XP L 2.0 model weapon was sold to members of the judiciary for 4,173 dollars, it was listed for sale online for 12,000 dollars. Additionally, while the Springfield Armory 1911 Emissory 45 ACP brand weapon was sold to members of the judiciary for 1,791 dollars, it was listed for sale for 12,000 dollars.
Furthermore, a CZ P10 S brand weapon, which was sold for 500 dollars, was also listed for sale online for 4,480 dollars.
