Jumped from the bridge: Rescued at the last moment
A person who jumped from a bridge into the Yeşilırmak River was saved thanks to the rapid intervention of fire department and diving teams. While the incident caused alarm in the area, the citizen was rushed to the hospital within seconds.

In an incident that took place in the city center of Amasya in the evening, a 30-year-old citizen identified as E.G. climbed onto the railings of the Künç Bridge after spending some time there, allegedly due to distress caused by family issues. A great sense of worry and panic emerged in the surrounding area.
Police teams tried to persuade the individual to change their mind for a long time. However, despite the warnings, E.G. threw themselves into the Yeşilırmak River. Those moments were watched with astonishment and anxiety by citizens on the bridge.
Drifting due to the current, E.G. tried to swim toward the shore. Divers who reached the scene quickly entered the water and brought E.G. safely to the bank. The fire department facilitated the rescue operation with the help of a ladder extended from the shore to the river.
Medical teams provided the first intervention to the citizen pulled from the water at the scene before transferring them to the hospital by ambulance. While it was learned that E.G.'s health condition has been brought under control, there was brief activity in the area following the incident.
