The first hearing is being held today in the trial of two juvenile suspects arrested for the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who face up to 24 years in prison each.

FIRST HEARING FOR MATTIA AHMET HELD TODAY

The hearing at the Anatolian 2nd Juvenile High Criminal Court was attended by the detained juvenile defendants, U.B. and B.B. The victim's mother, Yasemin Akıncılar Minguzzi, and father, Andrea Minguzzi, as well as the lawyers for both sides, were present. Due to a closed-session and confidentiality order, members of the press and spectators were not admitted.

The hearing, which began with identity checks of the defendants, is continuing with the presentation of defense statements.

Meanwhile, extensive security measures have been taken in the corridor and in front of the courtroom due to the trial. Large crowds have gathered outside the courtroom and the courthouse building.

Famous figures who wanted to support Mattia Ahmet's family also arrived at the courthouse. Actors Belçim Bilgin and Onur Tuna stated, "We are here only for Ahmet."

Presenter Tanem Sivar expressed her feelings by saying, "Our hearts are shattered. A pure child who grew up with endless love and lived his life, and his family," while singer Ece Seçkin said, "I never had the chance to meet Ahmet, but he was like a son to our household. We are here today for his pursuit of justice."

WITNESS TESTIMONIES UNDERWAY IN THE CASE

The testimony phase for the two defendants on trial in the Ahmet Minguzzi case has been completed, and the court has moved on to hearing witnesses. Three witnesses were summoned to the hearing to testify. The final witness is currently giving their statement.
