Justice Minister Tunç's statement on forest fire investigations: 'From the very first moment'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that judicial investigations into forest fires across the country were initiated from the very first moment.

In a statement on his social media account, Tunç said, "Judicial investigations have been initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices from the very first moment regarding the forest fires that have broken out in different regions of our country."

Stating that the investigations are being carried out meticulously, Tunç noted that the state has mobilized all its resources to stand by the citizens affected by the fires.

Minister Tunç included the following in his post:

"As the Ministry of Justice, we have assigned our General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses Search and Rescue teams (CEKUT) to participate in the efforts to extinguish the forest fires, which are being intervened in continuously from the air and on the ground.

We have put our 100-person expert CEKUT team on alert, along with their vehicles and equipment, to intervene in the fires.

All our efforts and prayers are for the fires to be extinguished as soon as possible.

I wish success to all our teams working selflessly to protect our Green Homeland, and I convey my best wishes to our citizens affected by the fires."
