Karamahmutoğlu provides update on health status of Özdağ, who was transferred to hospital: 'Due to a pre-existing condition...'

The court cases against Ümit Özdağ regarding insulting the President and disclosing the names of MİT personnel did not take place due to Özdağ's transfer to Silivri State Hospital.

Following Ümit Özdağ's transfer to the hospital, there was curiosity regarding the nature of his ailment.

Zafer Party Spokesperson Azmi Karamahmutoğlu made statements regarding Özdağ's hospital transfer during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV.

Karamahmutoğlu stated the following:

The lawsuit filed regarding the disclosure of MİT personnel names is baseless in this respect; when Mr. Özdağ disclosed these names at the meeting, he had taken these two names from press clippings that had already appeared in the media. Özdağ held a press conference with these names.

However, strangely enough, a lawsuit was filed as if these names were being disclosed there for the first time. They are choosing to occupy the judiciary and politicians. He had two cases today; one was the disclosure of these names, and the other was an insult case...

REASON FOR HOSPITAL TRANSFER

The cases did not take place because our Chairman, Mr. Ümit Özdağ, was transferred to the hospital for a health check-up regarding a routine, pre-existing condition. I was also going to visit him today, and when I went to Silivri, I learned that he had been transferred to Silivri State Hospital.

Since that was the case, I only spoke with Mr. İmamoğlu...

There is no cause for concern regarding his health; it was a routine check-up! I can say that, in general, everything is fine.
