Kartalkaya is full of snow: Snow depth reaches 137 centimeters

The snow depth at the Kartalkaya Ski Center in Bolu, one of Turkey's important winter tourism centers, has been measured at 137 centimeters.

Snowfall has been continuing for two days at the ski center, which is located on the summit of the Köroğlu Mountains between the two metropolitan cities of Ankara and Istanbul. Following the snowfall, the snow depth at the center reached 137 centimeters.

Visitors to the ski center have the opportunity to ski and snowboard on 25 tracks with a total length of 75 kilometers. The 5 hotels in Kartalkaya, which have a total bed capacity of 2,000, are operating at full occupancy.

Yusuf Avcı, the general manager of two hotels at the ski center, said that with the snowfall, the snow depth on the tracks is approaching 1.5 meters.

Stating that domestic and foreign vacationers are showing interest in Kartalkaya, Avcı said, "Vacationers are choosing Kartalkaya. We are having a good season."
