Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responds to Katz's 'unacceptable insolence': You will find the Turkish nation standing against you

CHP's 7th Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to the remarks made by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan in a statement shared on his social media account.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz had drawn backlash for his ugly remarks, stating: "Turkish President Erdoğan, after revealing himself to be a paper tiger by failing to react to the missiles fired from Iran into Turkish territory, is resorting to antisemitism and announcing show trials in Turkey against Israel's political and military leadership. What a great absurdity. A member of the Muslim Brotherhood, someone who massacres Kurds, is accusing Israel, which is defending itself against its partners in Hamas, of genocide. Israel will continue to defend itself with strength and determination - it would be better for Erdoğan to sit down and stay silent."

One of the figures who reacted to these statements by Katz was the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kılıçdaroğlu.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made the following statement regarding the matter on his social media account:

"The attempt by a foreign country official to direct the internal politics, national will, and state institutions of the Republic of Turkey is an unacceptable act of insolence.

We reject in the strongest terms the statements made by the Israeli government—which has become one of the primary sources of instability in the region with its lawless practices and aggressive policies—regarding Turkey's internal political life.

It is a shameful contradiction for the political representatives of the murderous Israeli government to attempt to lecture Turkey on democracy, law, and politics while trying to cover up the attacks in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and various parts of the region where children, women, and civilians are targeted.

Our expectation regarding the current Israeli administration is that they be held accountable before international law when the day comes and face the consequences of their actions on legal grounds.

We are aware of every kind of provocation aimed at pitting Turkey against its neighbors and dragging it into war scenarios by escalating regional tensions, especially regarding Iran.

The State of the Republic of Turkey hosts many cultures, beliefs, and identities within it; it respects and protects every identity.

Against your projects of division, provocation, and destruction, you will find the 86 million-strong Turkish nation standing against you.

It should not be forgotten that the Republic of Turkey is a state that does not receive diplomatic notes, but issues them."
