Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained at his home in Sarıyer on allegations of leading a criminal organization involved in money laundering, bribery, fraud, and bid-rigging, as well as aiding a terrorist organization within the framework of 'urban consensus' activities.
Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu visited Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was detained as part of the investigation, at their home in Sarıyer. Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to make a statement following the visit.
