Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made statements regarding the lawsuit filed against former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, in which a political ban is being requested.
Minister Tunç stated, "One must look at how those investigations were opened and which words they were based on. These are unspeakable words against our President.
Investigations were opened due to speeches that the public would not accept.
If those who engage in politics take him as an example, their end will be like this former Chairman.
He is a cautionary tale for our politicians. Unfortunately, by constantly resorting to insults, he has reached the end of his political life and was not even re-elected as chairman in his own party."
'IF YOU HAVE THE HEART, COME TO COURT'
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded to Minister Tunç. Kılıçdaroğlu said, "If you have the heart, come to court tomorrow and listen to what I will tell your master; listen, perhaps you will learn a lesson..."
HIS LAWYER ALSO SAID 'CHALLENGE ACCEPTED'
Following Minister Tunç's statement, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, also made a statement. Sharing on his social media account, Çelik reacted as follows:
"They will regret having these lawsuits filed. Exemplary statements from Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç! One can only be this incompetent! I don't know how he received his legal education! A Minister of Justice who dares to openly influence judicial officers regarding an ongoing case, and thus openly commits a crime! They will regret having these lawsuits filed. Challenge accepted."
