CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu continues to direct questions to the Ministry of Justice regarding Veysel Şahin, who was sentenced to 13 years and 10 months in prison for various crimes but was released from prison last April.
"ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS"
In a new post on his social media account, Kılıçdaroğlu stated, “The Palace administration, which has destroyed the rule of law and trust in the judiciary in Turkey, has unfortunately turned a part of the judiciary into its own backyard. Now come out and answer these questions without word games and without lying.”

“HAVE YOU TAKEN ANY ACTION AGAINST THE REPUBLIC’S PROSECUTORS?”
Kılıçdaroğlu asked the following 4 questions:
“Have you taken any action against the Republic’s prosecutors who resisted the Bakırköy 14th High Criminal Court’s decision numbered 2023/93 Miscellaneous Affairs regarding the unlawful release of Veysel Şahin, and who ensured that these corrupt relationships were brought to light?
Are you aware that Veysel Şahin was sentenced to a total of 21 years and 8 months in prison, yet despite such a high sentence, no judicial arrest warrant was issued?
Is it because it was known that Veysel Şahin would not be able to leave prison for years that a judicial arrest warrant was not issued, and furthermore, that the Bakırköy 14th High Criminal Court’s decision dated 02.03.2023 and numbered 2023/93 Miscellaneous Affairs was secured beforehand?
Which politicians and bureaucrats protected this person, who is alleged to be an illegal betting baron, and for what interests?”
