The Istanbul program for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, announced by Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency by a court decision, has been cancelled.
In his initial post on his social media account, Tekin had announced that Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP Chairmanship by court order, would arrive in Istanbul on Thursday, June 25, at 08:00. It was stated that Kılıçdaroğlu would be welcomed at the Dudullu Çamlıca Toll Booths.
In his announcement, Gürsel Tekin had stated, "Istanbul is one heart, waiting for its Chairman. For unity, for solidarity, for hope... We are waiting for you, Mr. Chairman."
However, a new statement was made approximately two and a half hours before the planned welcome program. Tekin said, "My dear fellow travelers, our chairman's program planned for today has been cancelled. We present this for your information and thank you for your understanding."
