In a post on his Twitter account, Minister Tunç announced that the public case regarding the cat named Eros, who was brutally murdered in Başakşehir, Istanbul, will be retried.

"THE CASE WILL BE RETRIED BY THE COURT"

In his post, Tunç stated, "The objection filed by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the decision to defer the announcement of the verdict regarding the prison sentence given to the defendant in the public case opened due to the brutal killing of the cat named Eros in Başakşehir, Istanbul, has been accepted by the Assize Court and the decision has been overturned. The case will be retried by the court."

In the continuation of his post, Tunç included the statement, "The right to life of every living creature is sacred. We will continue to stand against all kinds of mistreatment towards our animal friends."
