Knife attack on a bus in Arnavutköy
One passenger lost their life and two people were injured in a knife attack that occurred on an IETT bus in Arnavutköy, Istanbul.

A knife attack occurred for unknown reasons on an IETT bus at the Haraççı Junction in Arnavutköy around 11:30 AM. The attacker fled the scene after stabbing the bus driver and two passengers. Upon notification, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the area.
The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulance after receiving initial treatment at the scene. 65-year-old Kazım Özturlay, one of the passengers treated at Arnavutköy State Hospital, could not be saved despite all efforts. The other injured individuals, bus driver Ersin Bozdağ and another passenger, continue to receive treatment at the hospital.
ATTACKER CAPTURED
Police teams captured and detained the suspect who carried out the attack in a short time. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
