Kocaeli Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams, as part of efforts to prevent arms smuggling, apprehended 15 suspects in simultaneous operations conducted in Kocaeli and Istanbul following technical and physical surveillance.
Searches conducted on the suspects, their vehicles, and their residences resulted in the seizure of 23 unlicensed pistols, 3 thousand 316 pistol cartridges, 35 pistol magazines, 10 unlicensed shotguns, 216 shotgun cartridges, a blank-firing pistol, 18 magazines, 3 barrels, 200 grams of cannabis, and 2 narcotic pills.
