The trial of 12 defendants, including 5 who were in custody, regarding the cable car accident in Antalya that left 1 person dead and 7 injured, continued at the 6th High Criminal Court.

While the court decided to keep defendant Suphi Kaplan in custody, it also ruled for the continued detention of Serkan Yellice, Okan Erol, Ahmet Buğra Samsunlu, and Serdar Tezcan.

The court panel, which decided to release Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz pending trial with a travel ban, adjourned the hearing to a later date to address missing information.

"MORE IMPORTANT THAN AIR OR WATER"

Following the release decision, Mesut Kocagöz left the Döşemealtı L-Type Prison, where he was being held, at 19:00.

Kocagöz, who was welcomed by party members and municipal staff, was met with a warm reception. Upon stepping out of the vehicle, Mesut Kocagöz's first words were, "Freedom is very important, more important than air or water. May everyone be free."

Kocagöz then proceeded to the Kepez Municipality, where he serves as mayor, accompanied by a convoy.
