Recently, a series of allegations against Konak Mayor Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu have been brought back to the agenda on social media and various platforms. Mutlu issued a written statement regarding the claims. In her statement, Mayor Mutlu emphasized that the accusations in question are not based on any concrete evidence, noting that she had previously addressed similar lies and demonstrated that they were untrue.

Mayor Mutlu suggested that the repetition of these allegations is intended to mislead the public and discredit the Republican People's Party (CHP). She began her remarks by saying, "I am following with great anger the allegations that have been brought back to the agenda recently regarding myself, which are not based on any concrete evidence. These nonsensical lies, which were brought to the agenda before, have been answered by me clearly and unequivocally, and it has been revealed that they are untrue."

SHARP REACTION TO "HIRING A HITMAN" ACCUSATION

Mayor Mutlu reacted particularly strongly to the "hiring a hitman" accusation, which has resonated most in the public eye. Mutlu stated, "No one, for the sake of any political agenda, can place my name side-by-side with such a base and despicable accusation," and reminded that the legal process regarding these claims has been initiated. She noted that Municipal Council Member Melda Erbaykent also initiated legal proceedings on January 22, 2026, on the grounds of blackmail, threats, and misleading the public with false information.

Mutlu also expressed her full confidence in the judiciary, stating, "The truth will come out as soon as possible."

RESPONSE TO ZONING REGULATION ALLEGATIONS

Another topic discussed in the public sphere was the zoning regulations that came to the municipal council. Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu announced that the requests regarding the property in question were rejected unanimously by the Konak Municipal Council on March 4, 2026. She stated that this decision was made openly to the entire public and left no room for any suspicion.

Mayor Mutlu noted that the attempt to smear the office she represents through social media posts and baseless rumors is a dirty campaign aimed not only at herself but also at damaging trust in public institutions.

"I WILL FIGHT TO THE END"

In her statement, Mutlu concluded her words with the following sentences: "No one, for the sake of any political agenda, can place my name side-by-side with such a base and despicable accusation. As a woman who has existed in this city for years with her labor and struggle, I will never bow down to this smear campaign that targets my honor, dignity, and reputation. I will not tolerate any of these heavy and immoral slanders directed at me, and I will fight to the end on both legal and conscientious grounds."

The Konak Mayor emphasized that despite countless accusations and allegations, they will continue to deal with the district's problems and serve. "Despite all the perception games, we will not pay attention to attempts to divert the agenda; we will continue to work with all our might for the today and tomorrow of our Konak," she said.
