Korhan Berzeg’s wife and daughter leave questions unanswered
Renowned economist Korhan Berzeg had gone missing in his hometown of Balıkesir, and his remains were discovered recently. The famous economist’s wife, Angela Berzeg, and his daughter, Nisa Berzeg, left questions unanswered.

Renowned economist Korhan Berzeg had left his summer house in the Armutlu neighborhood of Gönen, Balıkesir, on June 17, 2023, to go for a morning walk with his dog, "Tina".
A search operation was launched for the 83-year-old economist Korhan Berzeg, who could not be reached, under the coordination of the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority. Teams searched for days for Berzeg and his dog in the forested area around Armutlu as well as in nearby neighborhoods, water wells, creek beds, and caves, but were unable to find any trace. His dog, 'Tina', which was found by citizens on August 29, 2023, was delivered to his family.
On April 23, bone and clothing fragments, along with identification and bank cards, were found by local residents approximately 4 kilometers away from Armutlu. The recovered bone fragments were sent to the Council of Forensic Medicine.
In the study conducted, it was learned that the DNA taken from the bone fragments matched the DNA taken from Korhan Berzeg’s daughter, Nisa Berzeg.
