Striking accusations from Kutalmış Türkeş to MHP's Büyükataman: 'Make Abdullah Öcalan co-chair too'

Kutalmış Türkeş, son of Alparslan Türkeş, responded harshly to an April 8 post by MHP's İsmet Büyükataman. The dispute between Kutalmış and the MHP arose after Ayyüce Türkeş was denied permission to visit the grave of her father, Alparslan Türkeş.

Kutalmış Türkeş reacted sharply to the fact that his sister, Ayyüce, was not allowed to visit the grave of their father, Alparslan Türkeş, and wrote lines expressing this reaction on his social media account.

While mutual statements from the parties involved in the issue continue to emerge, Kutalmış Türkeş most recently showed a harsh reaction to the following words of MHP's Büyükataman dated April 8:

The IYI Party Chair, who views the anniversary of our Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş's death as material for provocation, has once again shown that they are the embodiment of insincerity and impudence.

It is pure hypocrisy for those in the IYI Party, who change their shape according to their interests, to even mention the name of our Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş.

Alparslan Türkeş's ideas, struggle, and legacy are the essence of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

Our Başbuğ's legacy and memories have been protected with great meticulousness and respect by the Nationalist Movement Party and our Leader, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, to this day.

They will continue to be protected from now on, and no one will be allowed to exploit our Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş and his memories.

The name Başbuğ Türkeş is, above all, an ideal, and this sacred ideal lives on properly today in the Nationalist Movement Party under the leadership of our Leader, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli.

Those who sold out our Başbuğ's legacy for the sake of their own interests and those who turned away from our Başbuğ's cause have no right to speak today.

Everyone should keep this well in mind: our Başbuğ's true children are the Idealist warriors who have never left the roof of the Nationalist Movement Party and the Idealist Hearths for even a moment and who protect the legacy at any cost.

It is our Leader, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, who properly keeps the ideals of our Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş alive.

Whoever tries to turn the name of Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş into a source of political rent or dares to reach out to his sacred memories will find the Nationalist Movement Party standing against them.

Kutalmış Türkeş shared Büyükataman's words on his page and gave the following response:

"Get out of here, you liar İsmet! You are two-faced hypocrites who have openly betrayed and insulted every kind of legacy of Alparslan Türkeş, especially his ideas and his family, for 30 years, and yet you shamelessly continue to exploit him!

You are deranged, exploitative enemies of Türkeş who are even capable of attacking and insulting his family when they go to his grave on the anniversary of his death! You, in particular, are someone who was fired and removed from the party by Alparslan Türkeş; if this is a lie, I challenge you, we are ready to testify in court about what our father told us regarding you!! Are you protecting his legacy by inviting the traitor Apo, whose head Türkeş wanted, to the parliament and releasing terrorists, or are you showing respect to Türkeş by cursing and attacking us in every medium, or are you protecting it by making everyone who has betrayed and insulted Türkeş a member of parliament in the MHP?!

Who are you to protect a legacy! Go exploit your own mother and father! Do not think that Türkeş is left without an owner just because Alparslan Türkeş cannot answer you! We will defend his rights to the end and protect him from the exploitation of those like you who betrayed him!

If you are such righteous and great men, go establish a party in your own name with your leader, hang your own fathers' pictures behind you, and exploit your own fathers; make Abdullah Öcalan co-chair too!"
