Lâl Denizli's statement revealed: I know the venues

Çeşme Mayor Lâl Denizli arrived at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today to provide a statement. After her statement procedures were completed, Denizli was referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) for hair and blood samples to be taken.

WHAT DID SHE SAY IN HER STATEMENT?

Lâl Denizli's statement to the prosecutor has been revealed. In her statement to the prosecutor, Denizli denied the accusations against her, saying, "Regarding the venues you asked about, namely Gizli Kalsın, Easy, Kütüphane, and Sumahan, I know the venues called Gizli Kalsın and Kütüphane. I have been to the venue called Gizli Kalsın about 10 years ago when I was a university student. As for the venue called Kütüphane, I went to the restaurant section of the venue about 3 months ago after leaving a meeting with my lawyer, Baran Kaya. I did not go up to the nightclub section; I ate and left. I have no knowledge or experience regarding drugs there. We did not even consume alcohol there," she said.

Stating that she never attended the parties in question, Denizli said, "I have known the person named Edis Görgülü for a long time. This person was one of the 3 artists who took the stage at the Herb Festival in 2024. The selection committee determines the artists for the herb festival every year. I do not know what the fee was. Artist payments are covered by the company organizing the event, not by the municipality. I have no way of interfering with this company in any way, so I have no information regarding the figures. Among the people named Emrah Bağdatlı and Murat Ongun, I only know Murat Ongun. I have never met with Murat Ongun outside of political events," she stated.
