Lawsuit filed against owner of 80 beauty centers over 'toxic products'
A lawsuit has been filed against Sevim Alan, who owns numerous beauty centers across Turkey, on charges of 'manufacturing and trading toxic substances' and 'producing drugs in a manner that endangers public health.'

According to a report by Dinçer Gökçe from Halk TV, the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Sevim Alan, who owns dozens of beauty centers like the incarcerated Neslim Güngen and Dilan Polat, and her ex-husband Tufan Alan has been completed.
In the indictment dated September 23, an Azerbaijani woman named Saadat Mehdiyeva is listed as the complainant. Meanwhile, there is a series of mutual complaints filed between Mehdiyeva and Alan.
There are about 80 beauty centers bearing Sevim Alan's name.
The focus of the investigation into Sevim Alan and her husband was the fact that the products used in many beauty centers under the 'SA Goldensa' brand, as well as those sold on various e-commerce sites, were not registered in the Ministry of Health's Product Tracking System (ÜTS).
The expert report obtained within the scope of the investigation made the following findings regarding the products:
"The product formulation content that should be on the packaging of cosmetic products is not written. Minimum durability and shelf life are not specified. Special usage precautions are not written. The batch number and serial number are not written. The importer or exporter company is not written. The Ministry of Health license number and approval number are not written. They are not registered in the Ministry of Health's ÜTS."
'WE HAVE 80 DOCUMENTS REGARDING THIS'
The report noted that the trademark registration for SA Goldensa had been completed.
Sevim Alan, who gave her statement within the scope of the investigation, said, "My products have ÜTS registrations. Product safety reports have been obtained. All products are contract-manufactured. I do not produce any products myself. Inspections were carried out by the Ministry of Health in all of my branches regarding this matter. I received a document stating that there was no irregularity regarding this. We have about 80 documents related to this," she stated.
Two separate charges were brought against Sevim Alan and her ex-husband.
Sevim Alan, who made accusations against lawyer Leman Türkmenoğlu, the attorney for Saadat Mehdiyeva, who is mentioned in the complaint against her, continued her statement by saying, "The main goal of these individuals is to extort money from me. The individuals asked me for 4 shops and 350 thousand dollars. Seyhan Soylu asked me for this money, and I have the messages regarding this." Alan noted that she had filed a complaint regarding this demand.
Tufan Alan, who gave his statement, said, "The beauty salon is operated by my ex-wife, Sevim Alan. I have no knowledge or observation regarding the events. There are previous complaints made by the same people against me. I have no connection or involvement with this beauty salon; these types of complaints occur only because it is operated by my ex-wife," he stated.
