Lawyer Celal Ülgen hospitalized!

Lawyer Celal Ülgen has been hospitalized after falling ill. His colleague Hüseyin Ersöz, who announced Ülgen's condition on his social media account, wrote that the lawyer is out of danger and that his treatment is continuing in the hospital.

In his social media post, Ersöz stated, “I was saddened to learn of the illness of my senior colleague, Attorney Celal Ülgen. I wish a speedy recovery to my master, who has overcome the life-threatening stage and whose treatment continues in the hospital. We still have a long way to go and many struggles to fight together! Hoping he returns to his colleagues as soon as possible…”

HE SUFFERED A STROKE

According to the report by Oğuzhan Poyrazoğlu from TELE1; Lawyer Hüseyin Ersöz sadly conveyed that Celal Ülgen suffered a stroke, has significant loss of function on his right side, and is experiencing difficulty speaking. Ersöz emphasized that Ülgen had faced a life-threatening situation but has overcome it.

WHO IS CELAL ÜLGEN?

Born in Elazığ in 1948, Celal Ülgen completed his education at the Istanbul University Faculty of Law. During his university years, he was a desk mate of Deniz Gezmiş. During the Ergenekon trial process, he served as the lawyer for Çetin Doğan. He works as a lawyer and author.

Celal Ülgen has also served as the lawyer for figures such as former 1st Army Operations Chief Staff Senior Colonel Süha Tanyeri, retired Colonel Dursun Çiçek, retired Major Levent Bektaş, retired Colonel Zeki Üçok, Istanbul's first Metropolitan Mayor Bedrettin Dalan, journalist-author Soner Yalçın, and Cem Uzan.
