The lawyer for Doğu, who was previously detained and later released after confessing to cocaine use, denied the allegations in a statement made on social media.

The statement made by lawyer Osman Eryiğit included the following remarks:
"The news published in the press as a breaking development, claiming that our client Sıla Doğu has attempted suicide, does not reflect the truth. Our client is continuing her routine life; we hereby inform the public that we will resort to legal remedies against platforms that publish news damaging our client's personal rights solely for the sake of engagement."
