Thousands of citizens and politicians on X stated that they were keeping their accounts ready for İmamoğlu's statements and changed their profile photos to images of İmamoğlu.
While many social media users showed their reaction in different ways, one lawyer printed out the posts made by İmamoğlu and distributed them on the street.
Lawyer Burak Saldıroğlu, who became a trending topic after printing out and distributing İmamoğlu's posts on the street following the access ban imposed on his X account, has been detained.

Lawyer Burak Saldıroğlu printed out Ekrem İmamoğlu's posts and hung them on the streets to protest the access ban.
While this action was met with appreciation by many citizens on social media, lawyer Saldıroğlu announced in his latest statement that he had been detained.
CHP Beykoz District Chair Mahir Taştan also stated on his X account, "Our former Youth Branch President, Attorney Burak Saldıroğlu, is being detained due to his social media posts and is being taken to the Istanbul Police Department Vatan Campus.
We stand with our president and are following the process.
We are also against practices that have no legal basis."
