Lawyer kicks and breaks hospital intensive care unit door

Police took action following a report of a person causing a disturbance at a state hospital in Başakşehir, Istanbul. Security camera footage captured the individual kicking and breaking the door after being denied entry to visit a patient in the intensive care unit outside of visiting hours. Investigations identified the person who kicked the door and caused the disturbance as lawyer F.F. The lawyer was taken into custody and subsequently arrested.

The incident occurred 3 days ago at a state hospital in Başakşehir.

Police received a report that a person was causing a disturbance and damaging property at the hospital. Following this, teams from the Başakşehir District Police Department took action.

KICKED AND BROKE THE DOOR

Upon arriving at the scene, police teams learned that an individual had wanted to visit a patient in the hospital's intensive care unit outside of visiting hours, and when denied permission, had kicked the door. When the scene footage was examined, it was seen that a person who came to the intensive care unit kicked the door repeatedly.

TURNED OUT TO BE A LAWYER

Police launched an investigation based on the available footage. The investigation determined that this person was F.F., a lawyer registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. According to eyewitnesses, F.F. arrived at the hospital on the day of the incident, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, and wanted to see a patient in the intensive care unit. He was denied entry because it was outside of visiting hours. F.F. left the hospital but returned a short time later. When F.F., who insisted on entering, was denied again, an incident broke out. Unable to control his temper, F.F. kicked the locked glass door repeatedly, breaking it.

ARRESTED

Following the acquisition of the footage and information, lawyer F.F. was taken into custody. After processing, F.F. was sent to the courthouse and was arrested by the court on charges of “Property Damage” and “Insulting a Public Official,” and was sent to prison.
