As part of an operation targeting an international drug trafficking network, V.B., one of the leaders of a criminal organization sought by Germany via a "diffusion message," has been captured in Istanbul.
It was learned that the suspect, who was detained in an operation organized as a result of coordinated work between the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and police teams, had been under the surveillance of international security units for a long time.
It was stated that V.B., who is described as one of the high-level figures of the drug cartel, was being sought in line with Germany's request and was subject to an international notification.
