Legal action to be initiated against bank vehicle that disrupted tram services before YKS

In a post shared on Metro Istanbul's social media account, it was stated that vehicles other than those authorized by UKOME decisions are prohibited from entering the tram line, and it was noted: "Due to a bank vehicle that entered our T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line without authorization this morning before exam hours, our services could not be operated between the Yusufpaşa and Beyazıt stations for 58 minutes."

'WE CONVEY OUR REGRETS'

The statement, which emphasized that efforts are made with the priority of transporting students taking the exam to their schools on time and comfortably, included the following:

"We convey our regrets to our young people and their families due to this incident on our line. We are sharing with the public that legal proceedings will be initiated regarding the vehicle in question. Legal action will be initiated against vehicles that enter our lines without authorization until the start of the exam time tomorrow. We kindly request that even vehicles with permission to enter the line under UKOME decisions refrain from using our tram lines."

In a post made on its social media account during the morning hours, Metro Istanbul had announced that due to the road being blocked as a result of a road vehicle breakdown on the route of the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line, services were being operated between Kabataş-Beyazıt and Yusufpaşa-Bağcılar stations, and that services returned to normal after a while.
