The full text of İmamoğlu's letter is as follows:
"Dear Mrs. Küçük;
I was deeply saddened by the passing of your esteemed husband, Yalçın Küçük, one of our country's most valuable and productive intellectuals. Yalçın Küçük never hesitated to speak what he knew to be true, with the responsibility that comes with being an intellectual. He was a true revolutionary who fought against imperialism throughout his life and was a soldier of the class struggle. His intellectual perspective, which always questioned, objected, and criticized, is the most valuable legacy he has left us along with his works. His works will continue to shape our world of thought and serve as a reference even years from now.
I wish God's mercy upon the deceased and extend my condolences to you, his dear family, and all his loved ones.
With love and respect"
