List of tax debtors to be released: 'Tax deadbeats' to be announced to the public

The names of taxpayers who have not paid their tax debts, publicly referred to as "tax deadbeats," will begin to be announced starting today. 

The lists of tax deadbeats will be announced at all tax offices between October 15 and 31, and on the Revenue Administration's (GİB) website between November 1 and 15.

THOSE WITH DEBTS OF 5 MILLION LIRA OR MORE WILL BE ON THE LIST

The names of taxpayers who have a tax debt of 5 million lira or more to any individual tax office, or who have finalized tax debts and penalties of that amount or higher, will be included in these lists. Taxpayers who had outstanding taxes as of September 30, 2024, that were due as of December 31, 2023, as well as taxpayers whose assessments were finalized and who were in debt between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, will be announced.

Within the scope of this practice to be carried out across Turkey, taxpayers in Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, and Şanlıurfa, which were affected by the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, as well as the Gürün district of Sivas, will not be included in the lists as they are under the declared force majeure status.

 At the same time, taxpayers whose restructuring processes are ongoing within the framework of the Municipal Law and the Law on the Restructuring of Certain Receivables, or whose specific debts are subject to swap and offset transactions, will also not be included in the list.
