Turkish Retailers Federation (TPF) President Ömer Düzgün stated in a written statement that, as the umbrella organization for 14 retail associations with 7,700 branches across Turkey, they have launched a new campaign to ease the budgets of consumers during the month of Ramadan.
Announcing that they have fixed prices on hundreds of products throughout the month of Ramadan, Düzgün said, "As local chains, we are determined to do our best to contribute to our citizens' budgets and support economic stability.
We can only overcome the current process by acting as one. In this process, our priority is to ensure price stability in our markets and to ensure that our people have a comfortable Ramadan," he said.
Düzgün stated that they have exchanged ideas with industry representatives for preparations for the month of Ramadan and noted the following:
"We are ready for the month of Ramadan. We have fixed prices on hundreds of products in 7,700 local chain supermarket stores. Our citizens will be able to purchase hundreds of products at prices 25 percent more accessible through campaigns to be organized specifically for regions every week until the end of the holiday.
Thus, they will be able to access hundreds of basic food products, from legumes to oil, tea to sugar, and flour to pasta, at more accessible prices until the end of the month of Ramadan. In addition to food, we will also offer discounts on snacks, cleaning supplies, detergents, dishwasher products, and paper products."
Düzgün called on all producers and suppliers to support the campaign.
